Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and
raised in Southwest Florida, Dr. Crone's
interest in medicine dates back to
elementary school. Once he completed
high school, Dr. Crone returned to North
Carolina to enroll at Davidson
College. After graduating Davidson with
a degree in Biology, Dr. Crone joined
the workforce for several years to
examine other careers in the scientific
arena. Returning to his goal of a
career in medicine, Dr. Crone entered
the University of North Carolina School
of Medicine, and earned the degree of
"Doctor of Medicine with Honors" in
1991.
Dr. Crone completed his internship and
residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at
the University of Texas Health Science
Center at San Antonio in 1995, where he
delivered over 1000 babies and performed
over 200 cesarean deliveries. Dr.
Crone's hard work and dedication paid
off when he earned "Board Certification"
from the American Board of Obstetrics &
Gynecology in 1997. The American
College of Obstetricians &
Gynecologists named Dr. Crone a "Fellow"
of their organization in 1998.
In order to provide more personalized
care to his patients, Dr. Crone decided
to open his solo practice in 2003.
When he does manage to find spare time,
Dr. Crone enjoys spending time with his
nieces Jacqueline, Emma, Kayla, and
Cassie, and his nephews Kevin and
Nathan. Dr. Crone also enjoys swimming,
photography, theatre, and relaxing
in the California Wine Country and the
North Carolina Mountains. |
